Attention all Calgary-Shaw Recall Supporters 

In light of Rebecca’s resignation letter on December 31 we reached out to Elections Alberta regarding the status of our recall and asked if we will be allowed to continue. This is an unprecedented situation, which is what has taken so long for a response. 

We have just heard back from them that we are allowed continue collecting signatures. However, we have been notified that this status could be revoked pending review from Elections Alberta upper management . 

We have decided to continue collecting signatures from anyone who wants to sign but we believe our efforts would be best used to support other recalls in the city. 

Please reach out to us via email or by call/text if you or someone you know wants to sign and we will have a mobile canvasser come to you. 

We encourage all of you to reach out to other recalls and support in any way that you can. We plan on volunteering our time to be “canvassing buddies” escorting other canvassers to ensure they feel safe in the community. This involves recalls close to our riding such as Calgary-Fish Creek, Calgary-Hays, Calgary-Peigan and others. This will ensure we are supporting the province-wide recall effort, while still finishing what we started.  Our ultimate goal was for Rebecca Schulz's resignation, and this has been achieved.
